Dementia - Innovative care for persons with dementia
Innovate Dementia represented during Businet: 3 days on healthy ageing, considering new and innovative ideas
With the ‘ageing’ of the European population, one of the ‘hot’ topics of the coming years for business is health ageing, including themes such as nutrition, sports, health care, wellness, topics on which many industries and organisations are focusing at the moment.
The European Commission also stresses in the themes of the new programmes the importance of ‘health’ and ‘sustainability’ . This year, the Businet Business Health working group organised its 1st Active Healthy Ageing @ home symposium, which took place on 22nd-23rd of October in Leuven (Belgium). The symposium aimed to be a meeting point for lecturers and researchers from Higher Education Institutes (HEI) and representatives of life tech companies, to facilitate building project consortia within the Health business field and to exchange knowledge on active healthy ageing @home related topics (such as observation technology, healthy living support, home care and assisted living environments).
Lieven de Maesschalck from Thomas More Kempen/ Mobilab made use of this opportunity and presented an informative Innovate Dementia presentation to promote innovative care for people living with dementia.
