Dementia - Innovative care for persons with dementia
Interactive workshops for care professionals to explore potential innovations
During the Brabantse Dementia day and at the Dutch Knowledgecentre for Geriatric Psychiatry Innovate Dementia delegates Liselore (GGzE) and Rens (TU/e) were present to give a workshop in order to explore potential innovations that should be tested in Living Lab Eindhoven and to receive input to enhance developing tracks.
The meeting started with a brief introduction of the project Innovate Dementia, explaining the Living Lab approach used in this project and provide information about the interactive workshop. After this introduction and question round the workshop started in which, based on the care professional perspective, potential innovations were selected that should be tested in Living Lab Eindhoven. The experts in the field, made a selection of innovations that they would be interesting for people living with dementia, like a tool for get more structure during the day and a tool were memories, photos, stories could be stored and shared with relatives. Also out-side navigation, monitoring system at home/structuring the day, more exercise and social activity by walking received good input.
