Transnational Symposium Innovate Dementia
On Tuesday the 1st of October the Innovate Dementia Transnational Symposium took place. The symposium was one of the many activities planned for the Eindhoven Memory Week (from the 30th September until the of 4th October).
The European Innovate Dementia project was launched in 2012. During the symposium the participants were updated on progress and future planned developments regarding the project. Imke Carsouw (Director Brainport Development) and Aarnout Brombacher (Dean University of Technologie Eindhoven) welcomed the audience and the official Innovate Dementia promotion film was introduced. Joost van Gils (Director Culture & Society and Internationalisation, Province of North Brabant) gave his perspective on health care. Key-note speaker Nienke Nijhof (Consultant Care Management Philips Innovation Services) had a interesting presentation about "e-Health for people living with dementia" and an informal carer was interviewed about her personal experiences. And finally the Innovate Dementia Award was announced.
Innovate Dementia Award
The kick-off for the Innovate Dementia Award took place. The Innovate Dementia Award is to highlight and reward an initiative which contributes in a clear and significant way to meet some of the challenges of care for persons living with dementia.
